ARREST Wildlife Trafficking Messages Debut in Cambodian Airports

ARREST-Newsletter_02_Oct-Dec-2012_final-30WildlifeAliance_new_horizontal_3175pxARREST’s Public Service Announcements (PSAs) in Cambodia will reach a wider audience following installation of engaging video ads throughout Cambodia’s Phnom Penh and Siem Reap airports. The PSAs
discourage wildlife trafficking in both Khmer and English, feature a number of trafficked species, and encourage the public to report wildlife crime via Cambodia’s wildlife crime hotline. The ads were installed in cooperation with Wildlife Alliance, Cambodian Airports and Cambodia’s Forestry Administration. Around 4 million travelers pass through Siem Reap and Phnom Penh airports every year. Among these were officials travelling for the 21st ASEAN Summit representing ASEAN member countries, Russia, India and the delegation from the United States, which included President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
